Capture Webinar to Discuss Yield Amid COVID-19

Enrollment professionals across the country are moving to “plan B” as the yield and spring visit seasons have been turned on their proverbial heads by COVID-19. No one planned for this, but it is our current reality both now and for the foreseeable future.

Along with making work-from-home more routine for their staffs, enrollment managers across the country are building plans to correct the biggest monkey wrench ever thrown into a yield season. Managing it in absentia won’t be easy or ideal. But it’s possible.

That’s why, Thursday, April 2, at 1 p.m., I will host a special Capture webinar about this year’s unprecedented spring and summer yield season. I’ll provide 5 tips and tricks to help you through this historic time.

As professional enrollment managers, our lives revolve around creating value, communicating unique selling propositions, and delivering (and talking about) outcomes. But our crisis has leveled the playing field — at least temporarily.

What does this look like for you or your institution?

Higher ed has for years been a force … the force … that is a significant life-changer. Education removes employment and social barriers, it brings about economic viability to people and families, and it is the mechanism that enlightens our minds to think differently. Education will solve the crisis we are in … and make it possible to avoid the next one.

As we are here together — in this historic moment — let’s look for hope together. It’s time for higher ed to celebrate however we can. Talk about what education has done and will do in the days, months and years to come. Be real and show compassion for people who need reassurance that this new normal is not permanent.

No one planned for this, but it is our current reality both now and for the foreseeable future. Let’s figure it out together.
