Making Individualization the New Standard with Capture Dynamic Pages and 1:1 Texting

We’ve spent the last few weeks making a case: that personalization, as most institutions practice it, has a ceiling, and that the students you’re trying to reach can tell the difference between outreach built for a group and outreach built for them.

And while the subject is timely and discussion-worthy in and of itself, it was leading up to this announcement: Today, we’re introducing two products designed to put individualization into practice, not as a future capability or a roadmap promise, but as tools your team can readily adopt.

One begins reaching students before they’ve ever told you who they are, and the other makes sure the counselors talking to them afterward never lose that context.

Here’s what we built, and why it matters for the students you’re trying to reach.

Two products with the same goal: giving prospects the recruitment experience they demand and deserve

Dynamic Pages and 1:1 Texting are built to answer the same question from two different angles: what would touchpoints look like if they treated every prospect as an individual instead of a segment?

Dynamic Pages turns static landing pages into experiences that adjust for every visitor, including the ones who haven’t told you their name yet. Content shifts based on behavioral signals, interest patterns, and where a student sits in their decision process, whether that student clicked in from a specific ad, returned to a program page for the third time, or is landing on your site for the first time ever. It’s built to deliver the earliest and most detailed web personalization available in higher ed today.

1:1 Texting brings SMS directly into the counselor workflow already built around behavioral context. Counselors send personalized texts with a student’s full engagement history in view, every conversation stays threaded in one place, and nothing gets lost between a counselor’s desk and their phone. Every exchange logs back to your CRM automatically, and reply notifications mean a student’s message never sits unanswered because a counselor stepped away from their desk.

As Rob Simora, Capture’s Chief Product Officer, put it: individualized outreach means meeting students where they actually are in the journey, not where a campaign assumes they should be.

This isn’t Capture’s first move in this direction, either. The platform was the first in higher ed to make anonymous visitors trackable through behavioral intelligence, back in 2014, and the first to apply predictive modeling to behavioral data at 99% accuracy in 2016. Dynamic Pages and 1:1 Texting extend that same instinct into two of the highest-impact touchpoints in a student’s decision journey: the pages they land on, and the conversations that follow.

What Dynamic Pages does

Dynamic Pages offers higher ed’s first real “For You” page experience. While static landing pages show every visitor the same content, Dynamic Pages responds to every prospect differently based on their behavioral inputs, even if they are anonymous — just like the “For You” social media pages today’s students are accustomed to.

Here’s how it works:

Imagery, Content, and CTAs automatically adapt. Pages adjust imagery, copy, and calls-to-action based on a visitor’s behavioral tags and interest signals, so a student who has spent time on financial aid content sees something different than one who’s been researching study abroad programs, even if both are nominally in the same segment.

Ad-to-page continuity carries through. When a student clicks in from a specific campaign, the page reflects the message that got them there. The experience doesn’t reset at the click.

Every funnel stage sees the right next step. Content and calls-to-action shift based on where a student actually is, from inquiry through enrollment, so the prompt they see matches the decision they’re actually facing.

No visitor lands on a blank page. First-time visitors, including anonymous ones, see intelligent default content instead of a generic homepage. Return visits reflect what that student has done since the last one, updating automatically the moment they self-identify.

What 1:1 Texting does

Most texting tools exist apart from the behavioral data that would make them useful, but Capture’s 1:1 Texting ties insights to output in the same platform.

Counselors text with full context in view. Behavioral profiles, interest signals, and engagement history sit alongside the conversation itself, so a counselor never has to cross-reference a separate tool to know what a student cares about.

Every conversation lives in one place. A threaded inbox keeps texts organized by student, and counselors manage the full relationship from the same platform they already use for email.

Nothing falls through the cracks. Every outbound message and inbound reply logs back to Slate automatically, and reply notifications alert counselors the moment a student responds, whether they’re logged in or away from their desk.

AI-assisted drafting removes the blank page, not the counselor’s judgment. For institutions using Counselor Copilot, message drafts are generated based on a student’s engagement history and enrollment stage. Counselors send as-is or edit before sending. The message still comes from a person.

Built-in safety measures protect counselors. Counselors can block a sender or report a conversation instantly, and AI content filtering intercepts harmful inbound messages before they ever reach an inbox.

Individualization, from first click to first text

Dynamic Pages and 1:1 Texting solve two different moments in a student’s decision process, but they’re built on the same underlying idea: the best outreach reflects the specific prospect and what they’ve communicated through their behavior.

Consider what that looks like end to end.

A prospective student clicks into a computer science-focused ad and lands on a page that reflects that campaign’s message, built around the program she clicked to see. She returns twice more over the following week, spending time on financial aid content each visit. By her third visit, the page she sees has adjusted, surfacing scholarship information alongside program details, without anyone on your team manually rebuilding that page for her specifically.

When she eventually inquires, that full history travels with her. The counselor who reaches out sees the same behavioral profile that shaped her landing page experience, and the text she receives reflects it. Nothing about that experience required the student to explain herself twice. The page knew what she cared about before she ever gave a name to it, and the person carried that forward.

At the risk of sounding dramatic, the alternative is bleak in comparison: the same prospect first appears to your team as a random form submission, and your counselor reaches out with a generic welcome message.

That continuity is the actual argument behind individualization. It’s not a single tool or a single channel. It’s the difference between a student having to repeat their interests at every touchpoint and an institution that already knows.

Bringing individualization into your next cycle

Dynamic Pages and 1:1 Texting are available now. As you explore individualization strategies, here’s how you can get started:

Start with the campaign you’re already planning. Rather than treating this as a separate initiative, look at your next scheduled campaign and ask what it would take to route it through a dynamic landing page instead of a static one. The infrastructure for message continuity from ad to page already exists. The next campaign on your calendar is a natural place to use it.

Identify your highest-volume counselor workflow. 1:1 Texting delivers the most value where counselors are already spending the most time on manual outreach. Look at which team or population generates the most one-to-one contact today, and start there rather than rolling out across every counselor at once.

Loop in whoever owns your Slate configuration early. Both products integrate with data your team already has in Capture, and getting the right people looped in on setup now shortens the distance between launch and actual use.

Set expectations with your counseling team before go-live. The tools change what counselors see and how they text, but they don’t change who’s making the decisions. Make sure your team understands that AI-assisted drafts are a starting point, not a replacement for their judgment, so adoption feels like support rather than disruption.

Talk to your Capture partner about what’s next for your institution specifically. Every enrollment funnel looks different, and the fastest path to value usually isn’t identical across institutions. A conversation now can help identify where these tools fit your team’s specific priorities first.

FAQ

What are Dynamic Pages and 1:1 Texting?

Dynamic Pages and 1:1 Texting are two products from Capture Higher Ed built to individualize outreach based on actual student behavior. Dynamic Pages adapts landing page content in real time for every visitor, including anonymous ones, based on behavioral signals and funnel stage. 1:1 Texting gives enrollment counselors a way to send personalized SMS messages from within the Capture platform, using the same behavioral context that already informs their email outreach.

Are Dynamic Pages and 1:1 Texting available now?

Yes. Both products are live and available to Capture partners as of this announcement.

Do I need Counselor Copilot to use 1:1 Texting?

No. 1:1 Texting is available to counselors without a Copilot license, and non-Copilot users can view behavioral insights while composing and sending texts directly from Capture. Institutions using Counselor Copilot additionally get AI-drafted message content personalized to each student’s engagement history and enrollment stage.

Does Dynamic Pages personalize content for students who haven’t inquired yet?

Yes. Anonymous, first-time visitors see intelligent default content rather than a blank or generic page, and returning anonymous visitors see content shaped by their prior engagement. The moment a student self-identifies, that behavioral history attaches to their record and continues informing their experience going forward.

How is this different from personalization tools institutions may already be using?

Most personalization tools operate on group-level data such as intended major, geography, or demographic segment, and many only activate after a student submits a form. Dynamic Pages and 1:1 Texting operate on individual behavioral signals, including for students who haven’t identified themselves yet, so outreach reflects each prospects behavior and engagement signals rather than the category they’ve been placed in.

What kind of institutions are Dynamic Pages and 1:1 Texting built for?

Both tools are built for enrollment marketing and admissions teams working within the Capture platform, regardless of institution size. Dynamic Pages is aimed at marketing teams managing campaign-driven landing pages, while 1:1 Texting is built for enrollment counselors managing day-to-day outreach to prospective students.

How do I get started?

Existing Capture partners can talk to their Enrollment Advisor about enabling Dynamic Pages and 1:1 Texting. Institutions not yet working with Capture can request a demo to see both products in action. To learn more about Dynamic Pages and 1:1 Texting, visit go.capturehighered.com/dynamic-pathways.
