Battling gusty winds, the University of New Mexico held off the University of Texas – San Antonio, 23-20, in the New Mexico Bowl on Dec. 17. With the nationally televised victory, the Lobos ended their season 9-4, the third-best record in school history, winning their second bowl game in 50 years.
This was a big day for Bob Davie’s football program.
But the victory on the field wasn’t the only one for the Capture Higher Ed partner. At kickoff, the number of hourly visits to UNM’s website shot up 55 percent, from 280 to 435 on Capture Behavioral Engagement (CBE)-tracked pages.
CBE only tracks the admissions-related pages and omits traffic from on campus — so we’re tracking off-campus visitors who are interested in admissions. This bowl game drove visits especially to the financial aid, admissions and learning resources pages.
With CBE, the admissions professionals at UNM not only know how many students visited their site during the bowl game but who those students were. Go Lobos!
