At Capture, we are proud to introduce one of our newest partners, Florida Polytechnic University.
Established on April 20, 2012, Florida Poly is the newest university in the State University of Florida system. It is a school designed from the ground up to push the boundaries of education in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) while advancing Florida’s economy.
Located on a 170-acre campus in Lakeland, the heart of Florida’s High-Tech Corridor, the university has an enrollment of more than 1,300 students and offers two graduate degrees, nine undergraduate degrees and 31 areas of concentration. The school is Florida’s only public polytechnic university; it focuses solely on STEM education.
With brand new and award-winning buildings and facilities, and state-of-the-art labs, Florida Poly is an affordable public university that brings top-notch faculty, industry partners, and like-minded students together.
Through its undergrad programs, Florida Poly offers STEM-minded high school students a dynamic, research-based and hands-on education in science, technology, engineering and math … delivered with the small-campus, one-on-one attention most might associate with a selective private college. Florida Poly’s two graduate programs — master of science in computer science and master of science in engineering — give early-career scientists and engineers a chance to focus graduate study and sharpen research skills.
While only seven years old, the university has quickly developed a student culture with “a vibe of its own” — fueled by an “invent-it-yourself” ethos that leads to a fully rounded collegiate experience. There are an array of clubs and student-run organizations and ample recreational activities.
Florida Polytechnic University is a public university, committed to teaching, learning and research in support of the university’s mission to serving students and industry through excellence in “edition, discovery, and the application of engineering and the applied sciences.”
We are proud to welcome Florida Poly into the Capture Family of Partners.
