It feels like a lifetime ago. September 2019. During its annual conference in Louisville, the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) voted to eliminate some of its Code of Ethics and Professional Practices Principles regarding transfer recruitment and enrollment. For those in the trenches recruiting transfer students, the ramifications of these changes are crucial. It means shifting your language, shifting your direction and shifting your marketing. Everything must adhere to the fact that other schools are going to be operating differently now.
